Default fog lamp bulb too long?

Hey, i've been trying to change my fog lamp bulbs again but for some reason its alot harder than it should be. originally i changed them to some generic brand 3000k bulbs, but then recently i wanted to go to 2500k for a deeper yellow. so i picked up some nokya bulbs. but for some reason they just dont seem to fit. the bulb never goes all the way in for me to rescrew them in. i tried the old oem bulbs again to make sure it wasnt my fog housing, but they poped in just find. i compared the nokya to stock and the generic ones i picked up, and the nokya's were a bit longer than both of them. could that be the reason why it wont fit?

It might be because of the rubber o-ring on the new bulbs. I've have this past experience with other bulbs such as HIDs and reg. bulbs.

Yeah I have Piaa's and one one side it doesnt quite fit in place. The base of the Piaas are little taller. I believe it driver side was the problem.

i just installed fog bulbs, and i thought they were too long too. but then i switched the rubber o-rings from the stock bulbs, and they fit just fine now :]
