M5 has 3.15 ratio rear dif gears, Is 350 has 4.08 ratio. That has to help the Lex' a little bit.

mike... i beat you by atleast a car everytime... we will measure out a 1/4 mile and video it next time!

also.. the street was almost 1/2 of a mile.. we were running on half of it.. so it was a little more than a 1/8 mile
bc i could get up to 90 mph.. but when i went to an 1/8 mile track in alabama i couldnt get over 82 mph

Since you asked, I think it's meaningless. Street racing makes no sense to me.

Hopefully you'll understand this. Street racing is dangerous and people who have no way been involved in this activity have gotten badly hurt and even killed because someone had to prove that their car was the fastest. You have written on a public forum seeking encouragement to engage in a reckless activity (race other cars on public streets) and, in response, I have chosen to exercise my right as a member of this forum to politely express dissent.

Your preaching to the choir you know... Lextasy89 said he was going to a safe deserted road in one of the previous posts, so trust his judgement and just enjoy the story.

There isn't anything meaningfull about comparing final drive ratios between different cars. For all we know, the M5 might have even lower total gearing to the ground.

Cool. So the 4.08 gears that we have really aren't all that low after all. I wonder when someone will develop some other ring and pinion options for us...

BTW, were both of these cars running stock sized wheels / tires? If so, the M5 would gain back some of its gearing by having smaller diameter tires.
