Uhm. I used mine on the way home from the dealership..what's the big deal? If you're afraid of "breaking in the car" don't drive it like a sissy right off the dealer lot. Beat on it. There's no point to taking it easy in the beginning. Read up on the hard break-in process, there are articles on it all over the internet for your reading entertainment. IMO, there's no better way to do so.

In all honesty, nothing.

Keeping it at a constant RPM via cruise control will not "break in" the car properly. The engine needs to "learn" how to adjust to variable conditions, speeds, RPM, and such to promote a proper break in.

Will it damage the engine? Absolutely not. Will it optimize engine performance? Not as good as if it was broken in...

I drove mine home from LA to Vegas very aggressive at times going waaay above the speed limit and using full acceleration at times to go fast. I now have 11K miles and the motor is smooth as silk and runs very strong, especially for a 250. It will spin the 275 Pilot Sports I am running, which is impressive for a car that only claims 206hp. What I am saying is that it seems to run much stronger than most 250s, even the tech at the dealership made a remark to that saying "it seemed like it had more power than a typical 250". I then said well how would you know unless you were driving it hard? To which he replied "no I was on the freeway duplicating those dash rattles". Which is what I brought it in for was the rattles. Off the subject, but that is where the conversatino brought me.
