I ordered black so should I ask them not to wash it. I am so afraid that it is going to have swirls right off the bat. I told the dealer to call me when the car arrives so I can takes pics but I might also tape a DO NOT WASH sign on the inside. Then take it to my guy after the tints go on then get it detailed.

A bit harsh, but true. Light colored cars are so much easier to keep clean, and they just don't show swirl marks like the dark colors do. Seems the young 'ens like dark colors, but once people own a dark car or two they gravitate toward the lighter colors. I can't be bothered with worrying about swirls, hence Tungsten Pearl was my choice. Everyone has their own priorities.

Actually, if he's this ****, he might actually keep a black car looking great.
Don't let the dealer touch it. Ask to remove the plastic yourself. It's not that big of a deal, and that way you can keep it looking great. I can't tell you how many new cars I've seen that are swirled from dealer "prep" - unexcusable.

I had a couple of black cars and it's only silver and white for me now.I have always loved white anyway.
Black looks the best but in a PITA to deal with. Most have bad swirl marks from people using a all in one wax on them.

I already ordered a foam snow broom. But yeah I here you guys I think I am will not let them touch and just have my guy hand wash it.
Here is my most recent black car- keep in my mind she is four yearls old in this pic

good choice. i have had a few white and silver cars and went right back to the black. minus the swirl marks that will show on the black car a white car is just as hard to keep clean as a black car. silver is by far the easiest color to keep clean that i have owned.
imo let them prep the car and maybe go in the back and talk to the porters who do the new car prep and ask them to do what you want. i had mine preped at the dealer and they did a great job.
