Sold my daily "beater" to drive my IS more! *PICS*
After having my 2007 IS250 for 1 year and 2 weeks I accumulated 4700 miles in that time frame. I came to conclusion that I'm paying for this car and not even using it, just didnt make sense.
Last weekend I sold my 1996 Acura Integra GSR Coupe. I have had this car for 10 years. I absolutely loved this car, it gave me ZERO problems within 10 years. Had great gas mileage, was quick for a 4cly, and fun to drive with a 8k redline. After buying my IS on 12/16/06 I just couldnt sell my Acura so I just kept it. I quickly learned that having two cars was alot of work. Maintenace, washing two cars, insurance, registration, etc.
So I finally found some guts to sell it. Most importantly to let go of old things and memorizes and start fresh.
The shocking thing is I posted the Acura on Craigslist Saturday night. Sunday I woke up with a voicemail. Called the guy back and he was on his way over. Sold the car within 12 hours of posting it on Craigslist for $5500. I gave a high price to hoping he wouldnt buy it so I can keep it. But nope, he bought it.
Here are some pics of my IS. Now i'm forced to drive her, rain or shine.
The car that I loved and sold.

WOW, only 4,700 miles - I wish I had only 4,700 miles on my car. lol
I remember when you were buying your car, can't believe it was a year ago already. Your car still looks new...heck it is STILL new. haha
Thanks for the pics, and now time to start modding and driving!

Yeah my car is virtually spotless, not even one rock chip. Well thanks to the clear bra. I feel like I got a brand new car all over again because I hardly drove it last year.
My car was a garage queen up until now.

Ahh I had an Integra Gsr back then too, except it was a 94 instead. I remember when I sold it to my co worker, I kept on reminding him to keep up with all the maintance and so on. He got so sick of me after a couple of days, that he asked if I wanted it back. He eventually moved to North Carolina, boy I miss that car...

Low mileage
Can identify with you. My 07 IS350 is 12 months old and has a grand total of less than 3000 miles on it. I am fortunate to be retired and my son has left his Suzuki at home whille at university as it is not practical to have it there. For most day-to-day errands I drive his car...the IS seems to get used for social occasions with wife and other special jaunts. This is nuts....must change!

I can identify with you and gsrthomas.
My IS is sitting in the garage covered with a Battery Tender on her.I haven't used the car in 3 weeks.
I now work from home so I don't use the car often. It's now never used when it's raining or snowing and even when roads are wet.I use the wife's RAV4 or my son's car.
gsrthomas, one thing you'll miss is the feeling when driving the car after she sits awhile. It's like you just got it and it's always sparkling clean.I'll take her out this weekend and give her a run.Weather permitting of course.

I guess it's time to update your screen name now...ahaha. I used to have a GS-R but it was a 92' and a JG built motor w/ turbo. I miss it too... wind up giving it up to keep it's legacy going instead of it sitting on my driveway. I just don't understand why ppl would pay monthly on car payments/insurance premiums to have it sit in a garage. I'm not at baller status so I'm driving what I'm paying for every month so I know why I’m paying for it...
