Sweet Looking Wheels Man, I Did The Same Thing And Picked Wheels Based On Performance And Weight Rather Than Looks. When Something Has Function Over Beauty, It Becomes More Beautiful.

Hey those mooncakes look good on there. I don't know what you're talking about with the other wheels looking better. I say the Volk's are much better wheels. They are 2-piece forged and within a few grams of each other. They come perfectly balanced from the factory and only the tires really need to be balanced. No other manufacturer builds (or designs) them quite like they do not to mention they surpass OEM standards with the "JWL+R" stardands.
Those Sumitomo HTR Z III tires are awesome. They are the only tire I would install aside from the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 even though those Sumis have a very stiff sidewall and are so tough you thought you're installing a runflat tire.
Since they are most sought after for their quality, price and looks. I think they should be the only wheels we should address as mooncakes![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Alright then if the wheel carries the JWL+R standard it is a "true" mooncake. Otherwise its not a mooncake. Right Pocky?
Sorry but I am a nut about this stardard. I base my wheel's quality not on the looks like most do. I know that this is important but I prefer form and function before the looks. For that reason I will never do a chrome on any of my cars. Too much bling deters me as well. I've been on Ray's Japan site and spend hours inquiring about this standard. I've spent a lot of time translating the Japanese text and making sense of how they did it. Below is just an image of how they made your wheel lighter and stronger at the same time. While everyone spends the big bucks on the billet machined wheels like iForge, Fikse, HRE, etc. I really doubt anyone can make a forged wheel (in the same dimensions) as light while still being as strong as the Ray's Engineering Volk Racing series.

Troy, your wheels have the JLW+R spec 2 standards. The 1 piece wheels have the JWL+R spec 3 standards and thats why I plan on running the Progressive ME on the IS and the RE30 on the Supra. That car is lighter but I plan on bringing it down to 3000 lbs curb weight and the Volks will help me get there.
