OK, so while I was bored at work I boned up on some TIS info about transmissions.
The Repair Manual has standard disassembly/reassembly instructions for the A760E transmission (IS 350, which is all I looked at), as well as the others (A760H and A960E). But as Lobuxracer pointed out in the old post, there's really no info (or work instructions) for any sort of flush and fill. If you know Toyota, that means its not meant to be done. I've seen work instructions written out for refilling the coffee pot or the water cooler.
Toyota's done a lot of things that most of the other automakers have maintained sheerly out of inertia, especially in the realm of fluids and other consumables. Its one of the things that really helps with that reliabilty "image," since the less things need to be changed, the less time spent at the dealership.
