1.) Yes. It does both. I have never seen the video-ok thing before and didn't know if it times out atuomatically, but if it doesn't, then this unit presses both buttons automatically: the "I agree" and the "video-ok"

2.) This unit is for Nav w/o ML, so not compatible if you have stock DVD, once again your best bet is to call Vaistech to check on your application.

3.) I live in Virginia Beach

4.)This unit is not compatible w/the iphone or (correct me if i am wrong) 6th generation video ipods.

Went to VAIS last night and upgraded my old unit to this one. Installed and works fine.

One pet peeve - selecting the video manually. I can't stand having to pull out the ipod and scrolling through and selecting it. Why couldn't they make video playlists available?? I think the reason is that in video mode, it's essentially in "Simple" mode with the video input turned on. You can even listen to regular music in the video mode, it'll just play like it does in simple mode.

I don't have the nav hack yet so it's kinda useless (the video part) for now. But i'll either get the plug n play nav hack unit or just sack up and cut the wires soon. That'll make it much more worthwhile.

Either way, video works and looks decent.

PS - if you have video folders, you can advance through the files by clicking next track etc. ie say you have 5 movies in the movies folder. You'll have to manually select the first on through the ipod and then you can click next and it'll play the second one etc. Same for video playlists also. It's just that the playlists aren't available on the nav screen so you have to manually select the first video.

Also, does anyone know how to pause a video without pulling out the ipod?

Hope this helps someone.

Ah I didn't know that! I'll try that later today, thanks
Software version is 4.42, which is the latest one afaik.

I didn't take any pics unfortunately.. I installed it at 7pm in the dark and it was cold and uncomfortable. Installation is pretty much the same as the regular SL2i, the hard part is taking the nav unit out which is detailed in great length in the nav hack threads. I can take pictures of it installed and working if you like.

From the website: http://www.vaistech.com/, it is compatible with the iphone (4gb and 8gb). But you should call them to verify.

Can anyone confirm if this enables I-phone 3g use through the nav screen AS WELL AS Sat Radio access?

Does it charge the I-phone while plugged in?

SL2Vi comes with 5V charging adapter, that will let you charge iPhone 3G or any other iPod model while plugged in. And SL2Vi will retain all factory installed equipment including SAT radio.
