Not yet, I am bringing it in next Monday for service and I will mention it to the service writer......

Or maybe I will try to fix it myself this weekend by "pulling it" as mentioned by KiKaika....

I used to do that when i was working at the shop.
Kikaida: Do you mean no tools required? Just literally grab it and push it back and it will snap into place....?

You also mentioned pulling off the upper strip and remount it back, did you mean rip the whole thing off and push it back without taking apart the trim at all?

Thanks a lot!

I'm going to take it into the dealership to fix because I also need to fix a bad motor on the passenger seat.
Yes, that's what I thought initially, why only the passenger side.

Well, very soon you will find that the otherside starts falling apart too, but not as bad. No kidding.

I looked at a few IS's on the street and noticed some of them have the same problem. It could be my imagination, but I think it is always worse on the passenger side....

I am worried the process would require taking apart some of the trim inside the door which would make things loose. I guess I am paranoid.....

I hope it does not develop leaks over time. That's my other concern. I guess if it has been okay for you for four years, then maybe it won't leak....

Yes, the headrest is kind of high but isn't that supposed to give you protection in a crash... or maybe it is too high for that...?

Anyway, I would say I roll down my window average about 5 times a week last year which I think is normal use. It is happening to the other side too but about half as bad. I do use the window on the driver's side less frequently.

Please don't tell me I cannot open my windows!!

Is there a DIY on how to replace for those of us that are out of warranty?

This thread might be helpful, though it's specific to front windshield molding: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-coverage.html

Link to DIY post 34.

I've had 3 IS's and all have had the issue. It's not going to leak at all but it's a very easy fix. All that's happening that window it pushing up on the weatherstripping when it's ****. If you open you window all the way you can pull down the complete weather stripping in the area and pull it down, stretch it back into place and snap it back in. It's simple and i've done it a couple times now.
