Default Outside Temperature Flashes

Has anybody else had the outside temperature flash off/on..Then resume a steady readout? If so, do you know why it does this?

At first I thought it was just when it was changing the readout..like changing from 40 to 39..but that doesn't seem to be the case

I didn't look at the manual, but it might be an indication of icy conditions where it cannot get a clear readout of the temp?

On UK models the temp flashes when it reaches 3C (37F) to indicate possible icy conditions

Absolutely warns the driver of icy conditions, the first generation IS 300's did this in January when the temps dropped.

It does it bacause the corrected ambiant temp not. the wind chill will make it feel colder so it warns of a freeze.
