I was wondering if anybody on CL has issues with their shocks gone out? I ONLY have 15k miles so it shouldn't have gone out already, but I can definitely hear and feel it when I hit little bumps in the rear left side. The left shocks looks very oily compared to my right shocks. Are shocks still covered under warranty and will Lexus replace them for free? Anybody with the same issue please let me know before I make my move and go into the dealership and probably get SCREWED! Thanks in advance!

someone posted on here an illustration of the acceptable level of leakage for the shocks, some leakage is somewhat normal and thats what the techs follow.
The "shove" test is kind of useless- you'll know if the shock is blown when you drive it- that corner will bounce uncontrollably over the slightest road surface inconsitancy, like the reflectors glued on the road to divide lanes.
I know this from experience (not on the IS).

If the shocks are oily all the way down to the mounting point with the suspenion arm, they are blown. I'd pull the 20's off and put the stock rollers back on just so they can't blame oversized wheels on the blown shocks. Should be covered by warranty.
