Tires is the best bet for improving handling in the wet and dry.

Mine, hands down, is the best rain driver I've ever owned, although I do have AWD....

Tires. There is no way around it.
If you going to drive fast in the Rain , get good Rain tires.

if u have dunlops on the car, GET THEM OFF! the tires blow.....look them up on tirerack. i am purposely abusing my tires so i get all the wear i can out of them before i replace them, they are by far the worst tire i have ever had on a car. kumho's and Yokohama's that i have ran in the past for half the price performed a hell of a lot better then the dunlops.

Ditto, our AWD handles just fine and we get a lot of wet weather up here in the Pacific Northwest!

I agree with ASp.3cl that the Dunlops suck. They cost way too much and wear out way too fast. Lexus has a contract with them so they get a good deal on them in production. When it comes times for us end users to buy them for replacement, they are overpriced and not worth it. I reccomed to everyone, purchase the Continental Extreme Contacts for great all season handling. They have the pattended "Shark Fin" technology and handle great. I will buy them for my AWD when time comes (probably soon--LOL).

Is your car AWD or RWD?

Yep they make All Seasons. I used to have them on my Mustang. They are very nice tires...

I will get them eventually for the IS when these stocks wear out. They run about 150 a pop.
