I wonder if they will ever come down in price???? Or if an aftermarket company will produce knock offs. Most i would pay for these would me $100 for the set. I mean its just a clear piece of plastic.

People are pretty surprised at how expensive these tail lamps are, but in relation to other taillamps, they actually are not all that ridiculous.
My friend's Solara replacements were 250 each side. My other friends' Mazda 3 replacements were about 200 each. And these are aftermarket ones, not OEM LED ones.

There already is at least one company in Japan, producing aftermarket IS-F style tail lamps with modified + more LED's....

In my honest opinion, the OEM IS-F tails look much better..

After reading all of the posts from people that bought the IS-F lights, I am kind of confused. Can someone please tell me what I would have to do to get the US spec IS-F tailights to work on my car? Do I need to splice/cut the new wires into my old wires since the normal IS light sockets don't fit?

US Spec IS-F Outer Tail Light Housings:
RH Lens # 81551-53190
LH Lens # 81561-53190
Socket/wire # 81555-53180 X(2)
And 2 amber "7440" turn signal bulbs
(don't have to be from Lexus)

i got the tail lights, i didnt get the wires at the time cuz i didnt know they were gonna be different. I placed my order today i'll know 2marrow if they'll go on back order? Dealer Daily show 2 in transit to the us.

so im going to ask was it plug n play? take out old corners, replace bulbs screw in new corners? whats the deal with the wire you had to order, and what was total cost out the door?
