You're better off just buying a IS 350 or a GS350 if you want AWD.

3.5L 06-07 List $13,793.70 $11,034.96
Does Not Include: Manifolds, Fuel Components, And Engine Electrical.

and labor!

Unless you have some real engine swapping experts, i feel that you will run into some problems that will seem unsolvable and then your is will be a wreck. But if you know people confident to take the job and its successfully then your breaking new ground. Let us know if you get any good info.

I would be surprised if the 3IS doesn't come with an IS350 AWD or equivalent.

Unless you really want to spend the money, time and effort now, I would suggest that you enjoy your 2IS for now and wait a few years.

the same tranny is in the gs350 awd......which my dad also owns one. toyota for the most part over builds their parts i wouldn't see an issue with the tranny holding a lot more power.

even with the engine being so cheap unless you have a buddy or someone that knows how to do it... your going to be looking for a couple of grand for install....

either way i still think it's more beneficial to go with what someone said selling the 250 and getting the 350...

labor, having to worry about quality of the install depending on who installs it... problems happening down along the line.... warranty.... etc etc...
all that and headaches...

so it will involve a lot of work other than getting the parts and swapping them over. You guys are saying there will have to be some custon fabrications???

You will also have to get a 350 OBD system too. those dont come cheap either. your probably looking at about 1k for labor alone.

You would have to rip everything associated with the 350 engine management system.

Only thing i for see with the problem is the AWD system. It might take up room that the 350 engine needs.

Why not get a supercharger or turbo kit for it instead?

Getting parts an swapping them over should be the easy part. The hard part is gathering info on all of the electricals and making sure its the same or if not what mods you will have to do to make it work.

Anything is possible, its just like those guys who has MR2 and swapping in the 1MZ-FE motors in them and making it work. Though im sure ours is more electrical intensive.

I agree with slee18, why not supercharge or try put in a turbo instead?

Keep your IS250, buy a GS350AWD, swap the body from the IS onto the GS and there you go... IS350AWD and GS250AWD

Is it the same AWD system as GS AWD?

would the IS AWD able to take all the power/torque?
