i was thinking to get all the parts used. engine is only $4400 and it only has 3k miles on it
Thing is if i do this i will keep the car a lot longer.

Unless you have some real engine swapping experts, i feel that you will run into some problems that will seem unsolvable and then your is will be a wreck. But if you know people confident to take the job and its successfully then your breaking new ground. Let us know if you get any good info.

I would be surprised if the 3IS doesn't come with an IS350 AWD or equivalent.
Unless you really want to spend the money, time and effort now, I would suggest that you enjoy your 2IS for now and wait a few years.

either way i still think it's more beneficial to go with what someone said selling the 250 and getting the 350...
labor, having to worry about quality of the install depending on who installs it... problems happening down along the line.... warranty.... etc etc...
all that and headaches...

You would have to rip everything associated with the 350 engine management system.
Only thing i for see with the problem is the AWD system. It might take up room that the 350 engine needs.
Why not get a supercharger or turbo kit for it instead?

Getting parts an swapping them over should be the easy part. The hard part is gathering info on all of the electricals and making sure its the same or if not what mods you will have to do to make it work.
Anything is possible, its just like those guys who has MR2 and swapping in the 1MZ-FE motors in them and making it work. Though im sure ours is more electrical intensive.![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)
I agree with slee18, why not supercharge or try put in a turbo instead?
