^^^ I agree that a 10" wide wheel wearing a 245 tire looks retarded. I see that way too often.

I've seen guys run a 275 on a 11" wide wheel which also looks ridiculous. You only need a 9.5" wheel to accomplish that.

IMO, you need a wheel as wide as the recommendation of the tire manufacturer spec to the size you've selected to run. Any wider and the tire's durability is sacrificed and the handling will be worse than a narrower wheel that the tire is designed for. The same goes to a wheel that is too narrow.

New questions:

When a vendor places an order to Rays (Volk Manuf), does it get treated the same as another order from a different vendor? In other words, if someone placed an order with Vivid Racing and another with D2 Auto would the wheels arrive at the same time? Do certain vendors get their orders through faster?

Reason being, I have several quotes from various vendors that range from $2800 to $3100. Should I just go with the cheapest one?
