Default New Replacement

Well most of you know I was hit by a drunk driver on New Years Eve.. Car was totalled...

Originally when I bought the car it was a Is250, base model. 32k out the door. When the insurance company called to get the pay off, they spoke to someone in used sales, he said he appraised it at 37k, so that put 5k in my pocket.

Also, I went in to get a new car. They had an 07' AWD Starfire Pearl, Navigation etc, listed at 39k, 121 Miles. I ended up walking out with the car for 32k, same price as the original base model and 5k in my pocket.

I'll post pics shortly...

Quick question: Can you do staggered rim fit-ment on AWD models?

First time I ever heard of someone making $5K on a car total settlement.

You can't stagger tires an AWD.If that's what you meant.

I'm not saying yes or no...that's how I get in trouble...
I will tell you, I have staggered wheels on IS250awd...and know of others who do also. I have had no issues.
As long as the outside dia. of the wheel and tire combo are the same, you should be ok. Tire width should also be close.

I am glad some good finally came your way from all of this. I realize the bottom line was your well-being and the well-being of the people in your car and for that, one should always be thankful. I guess $5,000 can only sweeten the pot or can be looked at as the Universe's way of compensating you for your inconvenience (not sure where I stand on the Karma thing to be honest! )
Please post pictures when you can.

you could always just get the same size all around and throw some spacers in the rear. at least that way you could rotate your wheels and tires.
