Default Loose shift ****

Is there a way to tighten the shift **** on the auto so that it's tight in the proper direction? My shift **** came loose and when i try to tighten it, it tightens at a 90 degree angle to where it's supposed to be.

I was wondering the same thing. It doesn't appear to have any sort of adjustment on the shaft or **** to keep the **** aligned, but there must be a way. I replaced mine with a MOMO **** which had infinite adjustment so it is no longer an issue for me.

Give it 1000 miles. I had this problem too, and it didnt seem that it could handle another full turn. But the metal shaft must have expanded, because by 1000 mi, it was tight as could be, and I didn't ever turn it
