to all who are reading this, this is a lot easier than you think, all you need to do is take the dash apart and try pulling and pushing on the dash you can easily see why i placed the strap where i did. it just holds the dash up where its supposed to be and stays solid.

Hi onepointon,
I am having that rattle as well. I tried to put a 1/4" (outside diameter) fuel hose to the space between dash and windshield but it's so loose I don't think the tube gives these clips any tension. My dealer previous did a windshield rattle fix based on a TSIB I forgot. They moved windshield forward about 1/8". Perhaps the fix made the space wider. Then I tried put a diameter 1/2" tube. It's so tight I had to use a screwdriver to push it in. Now it got a lot better. Rattle is not heard. Do you think the 1/2" tube is too wide? Will it damage my windshield?
Thank you.

I'll pick up the car today and report how it went.

I wasn't actually smart enough to make my dealer fix the rattle before my warranty expired =(. So I gotta try one of these methods. I'd rather not do anything too hard if I don't have to.
So my question is if this tubing can be seen at all? I don't mind if it's hidden but it would be weird if anybody from the front of my car could see the tubing. If anybody has done this could they post up a picture of where you put it and what it looks like after the install?
It's quite embarrassing when you are driving someone who loves Lexus because of the "quality name" and then they hear these rattles -_-'.
