Default Aux Input Audio Cable

Ok, this may be a little ridiculous, but the Lexus IS 350 comes with an audio input cable (not the input). I am getting the Lexus next week and don't want to waste $25 on a cable if I don't have to.

It doesn't come with the cable, but I suggest the Sik cable if you are in the market for one.

I'm using this one myself, http://www.sik.com/ram_din.php

Lexus just started making an ipod interface. I would recommend this over the aux port. 08 350 only

For the best sound quality, make sure you get a cable that connects to the iPod via the dock connector, not the headphone jack.

That cable looks really short.

Question...
What if you just got this one
http://www.sik.com/din.php
and connected a 2 sided male cord such as this one
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=8204416
Would you risk losing sound quality?

Take a look at the Griffin AutoPilot
http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/autopilot

Found it at the Apple store - low profile power adapter plugs into ipod dock connector & power plug in the center console, audio cable runs between power plug & aux input in center console box. a great solution, for listening 7 charging at the same time, only one cable connectd to the ipod.

Is there any significant improvement/difference in term of sound quality if you use the ipod doc connector input vs. aux input? Anyone has try both of these connectors, please jump in with your input .

Yeah the cable is pretty short. It is roughly the same length of the center armrest. But it works out for me because my ipod is always on shuffle so I don't look to see what the next song is going to be.

The sik cable is really short, but the sound quality is pretty good.
