I was curious if anyone has sub par reception with the sharkfin. I know that aftermarket HID kits will produce static while they are on, but even when they are off, seems like the antenna on the first gen was much better?Maybe it's the head-unit and the frequency crystal they use?

Do you mean standard radio reception? The sharkfin is for satillite radio reception. The antenna for the standard is embedded into the back window if I remember correctly.

sykocus is right the radio antena is embedded in the glass and the sharkfin is for sat radio
