Default fuel line recall

has anyone actually had this done on their car yet. I have been waiting for the dealer to get the part in for quite a while-- since the notices went out about the recall.

Haven't had mine done yet, but a co-worker brought his IS350 in for the fuel pipe service campaign about two weeks ago. The work took about three hours, and they returned the car to him with a full tank of gas.

I did mine two weeks ago.

I brought it in on a Friday afternoon, and my dealer provides a loaner if the service takes more than two hours. Hence, I picked up the car the next day...

Default Cheated....

I took mine in and they (Lindsay) had it for (2) days. I brought it in with nearly (8 mi.) left in the tank (display). When I picked it up, it had (6 mi.) left in the tank. Oh well....

If you checked MyLexus at Lexus.com
assuming you registered correctly (VIN) ,
then you would see it listed as a bulletin under "Manage Vehicle"

Your service person at the dealer is looking at the same info for you vehicle by VIN.

Between not getting a notification by postal mail and not seeing the service campaign listed as outstanding on the "My Lexus" section of the website, it's probably safe to say that your car isn't affected.

I got this done yesterday at McGrath Lexus of Chicago. I dropped the car off at 7:30 AM and picked up a loaner. They said that it would be ready around 2 PM and they called at 2:20 PM saying it was ready. Pretty quick and painless although.... they did not give me any free gas.

On a side note, the loaner they gave me was a brand new ES350. I have to say it was pretty nice and it had a decent pickup but it just didn't feel right... no spirit. As soon as I got back into my IS I felt right at home. This car and me have a real connection.
