Is your navigation "slow"?

Are these navigation systems slower than some others? I ask this because my g/f brought to my attention that this system seems slow, slower when compared to the one on previous G35 Coupe. It seems that it is slow in telling you when to turn and re-route. For instance, if I make a U-Turn it takes maybe 5 seconds or so for the system to realize that is what I did and tell me where to go next. Also, we've missed a turn or two because it's slow to say when and where to turn. Has anyone else noticed similar with their systems?

I've never had that problem. Mine announces the turn well ahead of time, repeats the warning as I draw close, and goes "bing bing" just as it gets to the intersection.
It is a bit slower to react to a wrong turn than either the Garmin C330 I had in a rental car, or the HP Travel Companion I won as a door prize. If the road forks and I choose not to follow its guidance, it often shows me traveling on the road it asked me to take for a few seconds before it realizes that I didn't obey its instructions, then the pointer jumps to the road I'm actually on.

I haven't noticed that, but it does take a few seconds to show the name of the street you turn onto--much slower than the Honda system in my other car. I've never missed a turn, though.

i notied that if i an exit off the highway different than the one it wants me to take, it does take a few seconds before it realizes it. has never gotten me off track, but definitely a noticeable slow.
i have a garmin that seems quicker.
with regards to telling me where to ruen, it does this in appropriate time.

Sometimes, if you have different diameter wheels, the car's Nav "reads" the distance by the number of wheel revolutions. A different sized wheel/tire set-up will throw off the Nav.
I had to bring the car to the dealership for the same problem, and they had to input the new sized wheels/tires into the Nav computer...
