Yes, the poll clearly shows that lips are overplayed.

That is likely because the vast majority of people who voted in this poll dream of laying sundries ( say $100, cell phones, Am Ex Platinum card, ex) on the lip of a multi-piece rim and shooting a picture (or so one might assume.)

You are picking 2 extremes, the key is to balance between them e.g. mesh wheels are common on high end performance cars (not just for posing - check Edo Competition cars!). But personally I would look for concaved wheels, it gives the best of the 2 worlds!

^^^

Actually, I consider full face to be more like the G-spider wheels.

I would take lip based wheels in my future with a tire tip that sticks out enough to absorb curb rash. In the past 15 hears+ that I have bought wheels for my cars, wheel rash has been my bane. I had some rims on my TL that stuck out so far that even car washes were rubbing the paint off them (I ended up powder coating them due to it). My IS350 front passenger wheel is already rashed from the little tinniest curb (little thing like 2”) that I hit probably at the most perfect angle for it to happen. 1” either way would have been a miss or my wheel would have gone up onto it.

With an ISX50:
if ur going with 20" rim : w/ lip
If ur going 19 slammed : w/ lip or fullface. both will look sickk
if ur going 19 w/ minor drop: Full face
anything less than 19 go full face
