To my eyes, full face makes the rims look bigger and 'pop' more. Lips are fine too, but I've always much preferred the Bigger/Flusher look, even if it is only the illusion of being so.

nice poll... i am looking for rims... and i had the same question...i think if your going with 19's a lip might look a little too small unless your dropped and stretching the hell out of tires.

if your stock height and want regular size tires 19's with a full face will look better

20's with full face or lip would look great

i think overall would have to depend on rim...

but everyone knows lips are AWESOME

This is a very subjective question, i prefer lip BUT not all rims look good with them. Depends on the finish of the face too...

i think this is pretty subjective to what look you are going for. I feel if your going for that VIP/pimpin look, a set of big rims with a fat lip will really stick out, especially if the car is slammed. Bold faced, thick 5 spoked rims (Zenetti 5's for example), with a big lip, look very flashy... on the other hand, i feel the spider type rims with curved, windy, and uncountable spokes look better flat, and give more of the racing look

Yeah, I would say it depends on the design of the face/spokes as well. There are rims I like both with or without lips . . .

I've been looking for a full face rims with plenty of spokes for my 2IS. I prefer it for the simple fact that I don't want to go bigger than 18" since I don't to compromise the ride and an 18" wheel with a lip would look like a 16" wheel on the 2IS especially if it's not dropped.

I don't get what the big deal with "lip" is? Everywhere I look people are showing off dollar bills, key fobs, credit cards to show how big the lip is.... seems like the bigger the better. In my opinion a huge lip on a wheel looks ridiculous and ugly.

Disclaimer: This is just my opinion, if you love huge lip, don't get upset... we can both coexist peacefully

Good thread to start... been looking at this a lot as of late, amazing how almost every car maker supplies full face as standard, few have lips...
