I have a Sharkfin but no XM radio?
Hello, as some of you may already know I purchased a 2007 IS250 AWD + Nav. The car came with a sharkfin, and I do see the AM/SAT button. But when I press it, nothing happens. Is it possible that the car never came with the receiver to begin with?
Is there a way to check if I have it or not?

Yes, unless you have XM or Sirius listed on your window sticker then you don't have it. The shark fin is "standard equipment" and the tuner and subscription service are optional.

The XM tuner goes into the trunk and all connections are done back there; no fiddling with the head unit in the dash is necessary. It can be installed in an hour or so. Do a search as there was a real good DIY thread last year.
