Most false walls close off the bass from the rest of the cabin. With the 4080enclosure the bass is can easily bass through the back seat uninterupted. Can you provide us with a pic of your false wall, i will be able help you more if a see it.

We picked the passenger side because it has the more air space volume vs. the driver.

The factory amp disipates very little heat, that's why Lexus was able to install it under the trunk panels. The trunk panels are not perforated nor do they help disapate any heat from the amp. Our box has zero effects on the performance of the factory amp. We have tested this box for over 4 months now.

hope this helps

how "deep" is the enclosure? i.e. how much mounting depth can the subwoofer have and still fit in the enclosure?

4080:

You said in your post that someone could use a 12" sub and a 200-500 watt amp. Is there any reason that you couldn't do something bigger than this? Like a 750-800watt amp and a better sub?

Is there some sort of limitation on the box because it only uses 1/4" fiberglass walls? Or is it because the enclosure is not deep enough to fit a sub with a larger magnet and basket?

Thanks!

If you mounted enclosures on the driver's and passenger's side, would there be any cancellation or interferance of soundwaves?

^ I'm with him. I've tried installing a sub and it sounded like crap. Took it in the house to my home theater and it sounded awesome. Something is wackey with the signal coming from the factory amp. I've even tried various speakers; still sounds bad. I do like the box 4080 has produced! How does it mount? I drive like an Indy driver everywhere I go, is the box going to fall or slide around?

Well you see this is where all the confusion is. You cant install it without having poor bass you have to have an aftermarket headunit that will support the output.

IN my durango installed 2 12's and a thousand watt amp with factory head but also put a RC converter which was nice. But since i had it in the durango the bass was caved in which gave me a headache after 5mins.

Can you guys post up your setup, i would love to put in a Cervin Wega i have with a Boschmann (1000) watt amp
