Default IAT Sensor location?

I am trying to install a module to my IAT sensor. Cannot really identify which wire to the intake is the IAT sensor. Can someone help me out? A picture or diagram would be nice. Thank you all!

IAT is part of the MAF meter. DON"T mess with it. The ecu will know you did and set off an MIL.

Only thing I could speculate it is is one of those snake oil kits they sell on ebay, which is 20 cents of parts for 30 bucks that lies to your ECU about air temps and messes up the car in the long run.

Sure will make it seem faster for a little bit though.

"little bit" is just a couple minutes before the ECU recalibrates.

Do not mess with the MAF or any intake wires, those cheap Ebay kits will ruin your car. Trust me, I have seen many people do this an regret it. Thier is no real HP gain anyway!!!

This is a bit of an overstatement. It's hard for a serial resistor to ruin anything.

Resisters are a device used in an electrical circuit to oppose the flow of an electric current. This is not good to use with OBD II being very sensitive. Perhaps my terminology may be considered an overstatement to you, but his repair bill will not be with the damage inflicted and thus, the purchasing of new electronic components to rectify the great potential damage!!!

This is what's currently wired in to my MAF, so I have a bit of experience with it. I stand by my statement that you could not ruin anything by simply wiring a serial resistor into the IAT circuit.

We'll, I utilized the word RUIN in order to potentially reduce anyones mindset that would otherwise want to instal or attemp to instal a worthless device like this that will essentially RUIN a warrenty faster than a bullet train leaving Nagoya. I did not intend to offend your posting. Make sure to show the dealer that pic of the unit on your seat once you have developed problems with your ECM and various sensors. Those add on units are bad news.

IIRC Gernbys setup just reads data, it's not gonna hurt anything.

As to the lying resistor mod- Toyota/Lexus factory tuning is awfully conservative, so there's plenty enough safety margin that this crap resistor won't damage anything off the bat.

But in some vehicles with less of a buffer, or even in these vehicles years from now when that margin shrinks due to aging parts or whatever, it's a pretty awful idea to be lying to the sensors controlling your engine.

Something could easily be damaged by my fuel controller since it does adjust MAF voltage for A / F tuning.
