I'll get Toyota 1-block away to knock out the oil changes and sign my Warranty and Services Guide. I'll do my own A/C filter and try to use the TSIB for the brakes.

Lovin' the knowledge.

I've heard the dealerships make more in the service department than on selling cars, and I believe it.
Many dealers make more on service than car sales, that is true. Also, the service advisors make commission per order. Therefore, they try to tack on many uneeded items to the bill. For example, my father's 2007 Cadilac STS with 12,000 miles on it, they told my father he needed the injectors cleaned and a radiator flush. I was like "What the F" when I heard that.

The dealer could get in trouble with Cadillac for pushing excessive maintenance. Modern coolant (Type II) is good for 5 years.

I've been thinking about using Toyota. Someone asked in another thread mentioned whether you'd really want the non-Lexus mechanic learning on your car. I thought that was a good point.

I have talked to the Toyota service manager a couple of times before. So I'll tell him next time that I'd like the same mechanic to always work on my car, one of his guys who's been there awhile and is pretty ****, well I'll say clean and organized, to keep my car from getting any unnecessary scratches. For simple stuff and non-warranty work, I think I'll be fine.
