Lexus of Bellevue 10k oil change service
+ inspections
+ rotate tires
+ replace cabin filter(i think)
$250+!!!
regular oil change only $80!
is this the same everywhere else in the nation?
I'm thinking only doing this oil change this time cuz they are doing the TSB for the Aux input as well during the time..

You can do a full synthetic oil change yourself for around $50. They never inspect anything either. You can check your own fluid levels and tire pressure. They make a big deal about filling your washer fluid (LOL). Wow, a whole $1.30 turns out being $30 extra bucks for an oil change or $190 with the 10k service. Lexus makes tons of money on these uneaded services. Toyota wanted to charge my sister $180 for a 45k service on a 2005 Camry that was basically an oil change and cabin filter change. I did her oil change and replaced her cabin filter for $35 and it took me under a minute unhinging the glove box.

I was stunned by Lexus of Bellevue prices for service... someone's gotta pay for all those lights though right?
That said, I don't think I'll go to any of the Seattle dealers for service.

de ja vue. I just went through the same experience today at Lexus of Las Vegas. I didn't get the cabin filter change so I spend 165 on mine. They also lied to me and said they rotated the tires when it isn't even possible. What a joke! They are bad my friend.

Must be a company wide practice to lie to the customer. I was told this by two good freinds of mine who worked for Lexus. I would be upset if they indicated they rotated the tires on the work order and did not. I would only take the car in for specific things like a Tranny flush or drain and fill with T-IV or the coolent drain and fill. Never anything else. I was also told that Lexus makes a ton of money on the un-neaded milage specific services when nothing is really done.
