Default Interior options

I am not a big fan of the wood trim front console, and i am not down for paying 300 bucks for some overlay that pops up, not for me. But i was looking at the Carson Lexus (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214915), and saw that you could order the upper pannel which is what i was looking for and its only 25. The front, back door pannels and ashtray i am price requesting also. I wanted to see what everyone else thought of this idea, because this looks like a better solution then overlays.

hears the link for all the parts

G, I couldn't agree with you more on the pricing for these dash kits. Sure they look good & you get that CF "Cool" factor BUT $300.00 . Been trying to find a cheaper replacement for my wood as well, the tiny scratches are driving me crazy!

What exactly are you getting pricing on? The aluminum trim from Sprts Pkg, please elaborate...

I have been using a little Zymol wax in the blue bottle (the kind that smells like a Pina Colada) to remove the small scratches, I thought I was the only one annoyed by this. Lexus should have used a better protective laquer on this. Be careful not to get wax stuck around the shifter chrome or the seat warmer/cooler switches.

When i was looking at buying an IS250. I test drove one with the wood trim because the dealer was prepared to make a better deal on it, but I hated it so much that I ended up getting the gray tirm interior instead.

Sorry- don't know how the link got screwed up, but if you search that site for "magical carbon" it's an adhisive overlay product made from carbon fiber. Trick stuff, I'd do it, but I like my silver trim.
There's also a vid on youtube on how to install it.

Ha, I thought I was the only one that did this; I use the same wax and actually it not only removed [filled] the hair-line scratches, but it also deepened the color as well - I've been very happy w/the results. But yes, this wood is extremely tender, and I've been thinking about clear-filming it but no-one is really in my vehicle to damage it.

I do wish for the black piano finish that I had in my RX330 – that was nice.
