Are you guys all aware that not everyone gets the rebate? If you are single and make over $75,000, the rebate gets phased out until ~$87,000 at which point there is NO rebate. For couples the numbers are $150,000 and a full phase out in the $170,000 range. Just thought I'd point that out before everyone spends their "rebate."

doing some rehab work around the house, adding some mods to the car finally! just doing stuff that i would even if we dont get this rebate. once its in my hand then will talk about what to do with it. have a baby on the way so im sure that i will come in handy right around that time should we be fortunate to get it.

i have bought most of the mods I want (with my gf insisting she pay for the rest). So I dunno if it'll be anything.

I'll probably save it.

The only things that have caught my eye are a couple of watches (phosphor e-ink for geekiness, seiko premier kinetic perpetual otherwise) or maybe a spoiler for the IS. Carbon fiber INGS+1 maybe? Eh. Got a couple of months to decide.

I'm not getting it . I'm on an assignment with my company and they pay for all my expenses (air transportation home every 3 weeks, housing, utilities, and other stuff), and that is all grossed up for tax purposes and it goes to my W-2. Including a huge refund I got in '07 from my Canadian taxes (which also wound up in my W-2) I'm way over the cutoff point. Them's the breaks. But considering I've cleared enough on this gig since Aug 2006 when I bought my IS to pay the full price of the car, I'm not complainin' . I look at it as a free car "for my troubles".

I'm aware....unfortunately I fit in that category ...so no rebate for me. That's ok though, it would go in the bank anyway or towards the IS F I'm getting that I saved up for a raining day.

Very much aware. That's why I don't have any plans coz I'm not getting any.
