Tire Rack Rep recommends 42 lbs in a Goodyear F1.
Seems very high,doesn't it?

Same here, 35/37, on both the OEM Dunlops and on my Pirelli SnowSports.

I'm coming from 17" wheels and the door says
35 front
37 rear
Same numbers with the 18" factory rims?

Ok thanks, those are the numbers I will use.
I would think 42lbs would cause a real rough ride.

The manual states that you can go up +7 psi if you do driving over 100 mph.
I keep mine at like 36 f/ 39 r. That way, it helps get a little longer treadwear without causing a rough ride.
But, has anyone noticed that the manual shows a different # than the tire tag on the door.???

For your 225/40/18 you want to run 35lbs
(on all for corners of your awd)

Your ideal pressure is just that....yours . It all depends on how you want your car to ride/handle and on the outside temperatures.
The best pressure also depends on the specific tires themselves. I am currently running 36/38 at about 50 degrees on bridgestone touring tires (soon to be gone, hopefully).

Using manufacturer's recommendations 35f/37r. Could go higher but I'm already riding on Eibach ProKit. Higher PSI = stiffer ride.
