Technically, black and very dark cars are slightly harder to pick up on radar than lighter colored cars. My former neighbor was a motorcycle cop and he told me that he sometimes had to "shoot" a black car two or three times before getting a reading, especially if they didn't have a front license plate.

Also for speeding you need to dull all reflective surfaces and if your really into speeding you'd have bought a laser jammer already

Interesting that smokey granite mica is leading the tally. According to snopes, in the only statistical study correlating colors to speeding tickets (done by a reporter for St. Petersburg Times), grey cars were the ones that received a much larger share of tickets than they statistically should have. White and silver both received less than they statistically should have. http://www.snopes.com/autos/law/redcars.asp
