Default Acura RSX Type-S

I had to say this...But...
I think the majority of the members had an Acura RSX Type-S as their previous car.
Because I'm lookin' through the forums and I see it!
Also! Because I had one tooo!
It's like a big step up to a Lexus!

You have no Idea how happy I was when I got my 350 and all because I got a new job making double the income. My first pick was the IS250 but my lady said are you sure you are going to be happy with that? When she said that I thought about it hard and coming from a RSX-S I had to go with the 350 and never once regreted it.

Coming from a type-s it is fast but there is defanetly no comparison to the 350. I mean I have taken a couple of muscle cars with my Type-S back when I had it but you can't compare. I think the fastest I've taken that car was almost 140 and thats no BS. I had CAI, Race Header, and full exhaust with no cat. I miss it...................But no way in hell would I go back from this ride.

I still have the Integra. The RSX has a pathetic build quality and strut suspension means hell no to me. I do get into the Integra and drive it to and from work every now and then. I don't mind having to drive the front wheelers if they can handle well and have a good balance in them. The best I've done on the Integra is a low 15 ET but the IS350 does that stock so I'm glad to the upgrade. I have yet to take the IS to its limit but I will in a month when I visit the road race event and have a blast.

Tell you what I don't miss is the loud exhaust, squeaks, rough ride, tire slip, understeering, and ground clearance issues with the IS350. I do miss the gas mileage and the challenge for most vehicles on the road. The IS350 kills almost every car in its class so I don't even try any more. I always keep on thinking about that gas mileage and if its worth the win.

One of my previous cars was a 96' Prelude VTEC. I still own it. Yeah, my IS350 is faster, more luxurious and much more comfortable for long trips. However, the IS can't touch the Prelude in handling. I feel so much more connected to the road when I drive the Prelude. Steering feel is far superior. And yeah, it's much better looking too. Yeah, yeah, just my opinion. My three kids like it better too though. Every morning when I take them to school in the IS, they keep bugging me to take them in the Prelude.

I had a 95 Acura LS sedan with the non vtec motor, and had Installed a jackson racing supercharger which woke up the car. The car could do the 1/4in high 14's. I was going to purchase the is250 with the 6spd manual, but after test driving 3 6spd manuals which felt slower than the integra, I couldn't downgrade on power. The integra was quicker than the is250 6spd by quite a bit. I really didn't have the extra money for the is350, but after driving that missile....I had to have it. so, I comprimised and bought a is350 with minimal options compared to fully loaded is250 for the same price. I will also havr to sell my 300hp mr2 turbo, oh well. it's well worth it!

Your kidding right. I would do circles around Type R's. And the 350 does 13's all day everyday not 15's.

That is a supra on your sig right.

Coming in from a Honda Accord LX-V6 coupe. Good times, decent all-around car, abominably crappy steering wheel (I am detail oriented/OCD).

My IS250 is a step up in almost every conceivable metric. Not sure if I can ever go back to Honda/Acura given the amount of ugly they've decided to give every single 09+ refresh so far (MDX/RL/TSX).

Came from a Type-S I miss that car mainly because it was stick, but I bought my IS250 to use as a commuter since I now work in downtown LA. Thank goodness I have friend's cars to drive that are stick and the AMG cars that come into work I love to just rip on those..
