Default Anyone have this problem when starting their car?

So I've had my car for nearly 2 months now and when it comes to starting it, I do what every 2IS owner does by pressing the brake pedal and pushing the button.

So like any other day, I get in and try to start the car this evening and it doesn't start and gives me a message saying the key is not detected even though it's in my pocket like every other time. At this point, the brake pedal has no give and is just stiff. I was still able to lock/unlock the doors but just couldn't start it. Luckily, this was at home so I decided to try the other key. It started without a problem. Later tonight I tried with the 1st key again and it worked. Anyone ever encountered this problem before?

most likely your battery...theres instructions in the manual about how to start your engine if your key runs out of battery...i'd read up on that so if it happens on the road, you'll be ok.

Also, I read somewhere not to keep your keyfob near cellphones as it may discharge the batteries faster. I have an '06 and have yet to replace my batteries.

Thanks for the tips guys. Guess I better make a trip to the dealer since there's no way the battery should be dying this quick.

Some people have found that the battery discharges unexpectedly (a button is pressed in your pocket when you don't realize it or you leave it next to your cellphone at night, etc...)
