Unhappy First Maintenance @ Lexus

Here's a list of stuff they did on my first maintenance at Bay Ridge Lexus.

A Kim/Appt
KCA Kim/APPT
8839 ISD Total (N/C)

B 5,000 Mile serice
001050 5,000 Mile Service
8839 W Total (N/C)
1 04152-yZZA5 Replaceable element Total (N/C)
6 00279-1QT40-01 5-W-30 MTR. Oil Total (N/C)
1 90430-12031 GASKET
CLAIM Type: MT

C NY Safety Inspection Total $10.00
NSI NYSI#11071678
D Complimentary Tire Ck
N Note

Ok they did the oil change and used W30 mobile oil and did a check on my tire. Not sure what the replaceable element is... if someone can explain that will be great. My experience was not pleasant, found a few new scratches on my right door and in front of car.

Did they miss anything for my first oil change? Thanks guys

the replacement element is your oil filter since our cars use a cartride filter

You should of done the oil change yourself and skipped the "free" 5k oil change.

I skipped it because of this. I do not trust the dealer. They will scratch, get your car dirty, etc etc. So many things can go wrong with them just doing a simple oil change.

To me this "Free" $45 oil change is not worth the risk of the dealer doing damage to my car.

If you can't do the oil change yourself. You are better going to an independent mechanic then the dealer.

I found a big scartch on my rear seat for my recent TSIB repairs. I was debating on calling. The techs also got mud everywhere. Luckily I have the all weather mats. Needless to say, techs don't care!!!

I think its a little strong to say techs dont care. Ive been a tech for over 7 years, and i take pride in my work. Maybe the hourly oil changers dont care, but i also dont consider them to be technicians.

Yes, I gotta agree that most of the techs don't care. I was just thinking about the free service and was like hey its a lexus dealership it can't be that bad guess I was wrong. Too late to do anything about it, I won't take it to the dealership no more.

After watching how they clean your car, I decided not to let them wash my car. pretty sure I made the right choice, but those scratches kinda bothers me now because its visible. They also left marks on my headlight and near there, seem like something was push on it. I can clean it but hey still not cool you know.

I agree, or take it to a Toyota dealership for the routine stuff. My leather seat was ruined at my Lexus dealership....the techs cleaned it with some harsh cleaning product. Why did my front passenger seat need to be cleaned anyway? Were they doing something dirty in my car while it was being serviced?

Unless it's some major warranty work or your 30k, 60k, ect service ....take it to Toyota to save some bucks $$$. They'll treat your car just as good or even better!

I hate grimey mechanics finger prints and the dumba** kids that drive the car around the lot. I wanna give them a dead arm.

It was my first time so that was why I took it to a lexus dealership, never planned to go back after the first time. I am going to take it to a Toyota dealership, hopefully they won't leave scratches on my car.

The shirt that they wear is so freaking dirty and they drive our car on that ****. Lexus really needs to hire some people that will take good care of our cars.

And I do have some finger prints on my car from the tech lol...

Thats why I sold my other car because it was a PITA to keep both cars clean. Its just not worth spending an entire sunday cleaning your cars.

I have the 1000 mile/30 day complimentary service which says i can get personalized settings and whatnot. Do i need to go to the dealer i bought the car from, or can i go to any dealership near me?

thanks
