that will definitely slam and be tight while doing it. or you could do this just to be a bit different from everyone else running a w7 and rf amp:

I have one Kicker L7 10" and MB Quart 800 watt amp. It used to be in my old Nissan Xterra and pounded like hell due to hatchback, but in the IS, it was good (not great) since the rear firewall is steel and less sound was able to travel to the cabin. If you've been use to louder systems, then you might want to consider adding another sub/amp. I am planning on adding another L7 and upgrading the amp.

I went the cheap route and added a Rockford Fosgate PL1-112 Stage 1 12" ported sub box and a Kicker amp ZX300.1 300 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. Fits in the trunk nicely with a little room to spare and sounds (and feels) very good.

Referencing info from several posts on CL (do a search, you'll find them), I tapped into the speaker level outputs that go to the factory sub from the factory amp. Something like the Scosche LOC (Line out converter) will simplify the process of converting the speaker level outputs to line-out signals that you can run to the new sub amp. The LOC also gives you more control in adjusting the input gains.

jl w line slaps. W7 will def be more than enough. I have a jl w6v2 and 500/1 jl amp. thats enough for me. w7 is fat will def add some pounds to your ride. my box and sub wght 49lbs. I added a base *** and on/off switch with a led indicator to fill up my lil empty panels.
I know its a lil crooked but this is when i first installed it, i rotated it so its straight. just a lil idea of what you can do

i used to be a fan of sealed only boxes, but lately i've found that a good sub in a well designed slot ported box sounds very tight and accurate yet louder for the types of music i listen to, i.e. hard rock, trance, a little rap.
