Question Traction Control in staight line

i just wanted to know if traction control is supposed to beep and stuff while ingaging in a straight line.......when ever i mash it off the line.....i hear the wheels spinning but never see any lights or rings for traction control or vsc

is this normal..... i rebuilt my car from salvage...so wasn't sure if some sensor is broke etc.

thanks

Yeah, you will see the vsc light up on your dash, and...I think it beeps too, but I won't swear to it.

When I mash it in a straight line, the skidding car icon (light) comes on, but it doesn't beep.

When I mash it when making a turn on a snow covered road, the rear end swings wide and the system goes beep-beep-beep.

I believe the beeper distinguishes stability control (course correction) from simple traction control.

Even with the AWD 250, my dash beeps and the slip icon blinks. The limited slip is probably reducing the need for Traction Control of the straight line hard acceleration slippage.

... after a lot early morning fun on snow covered roads:

Traction control is usually just a light flashing.

Beeping is like a primary skid control warning followed by complete throttle cut if the skid continues or worsens.
