Default Help: Rear Hotchkis Swaybars won't fit

as you can see in these links (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=15 & https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=17) i am facing difficulties at installing the rear Hotchkis swaybars. The logical reasons that i can think of are:
a) wrong part
b) non US IS might be different

The parts on the sway bar are 22030359 which match the attached installation guide so that's out of question.

I have checked some suspension system parts and i know they are identical to the is350. The only other possibility that i can think of is that i have a different spare tire compartment to the rest of you US lot... do you guys receive your spare tire flat or filled up with air? i was wondering that maybe i have a larger spare tire compartment than the US model

good luck with it. i would duble check before you have them fit it and it causes any other issues?? i would think your spare tire compartment is no different then ours. would think lexus would ne uniform to the body? makes sense to me anyway...

I already fitted the front sway bar for now. I agree with you but i was just questioning the possibility of different US regulations perhaps?!

thanks, yea from what i can see they are identical, i see the same bend in the OEM sway bar & similar clearance

But I just noticed that JUN-TW's rear sway bar (click here) has similar bends to the OEM and are different from the straight Hotchkis'.... i guess the Asian IS might be a bit different after all.

**BUMP**

so what did you find out? was it the wrong part or do they just not make it for the rear. Anymore feedback after having just the front installed?

Thanks!

Hotchkis did not get back to me, I am quite sure that is just an issue with the non-US models and I don't know what to do :<

I guess i might be selling them after all... oh god, now i have to swap the front ones back

Any chance it was up side down.... just thinking out side the box...

Also, do you get a full size spare rim & tire?? or just the smaller yellow one like ours??

I'll be under my car this weekend for a few hours...

I will measure the gap between the rear OEM sway bar and the spare tire compartment for you..

Ok... took these pics for you today, since I was underneath my car for a few hours with the full exhaust removed....

These should help you greatly... looks like its the spare wheel compartment that is different on your car...

^+100 grand respect and a million thanx Joe
The US model has different clearance for sure. There is plenty of room in there for the Hotchkis to "sway". I'll probably order the rear ones from JUN-TW.
