Hey guys I found this website that tells all the TSIb problem on our IS. I was shocked the first time I saw.. Damn!! So many problems on 2IS!! WTH!?!

you should search there is a thread that has a site that is free to check tsib plus members keeps us updated on tsib :P if you also sign up at lexus.com they inform you of them

I only got one TSIB done and it was for the brake pads.

No problems with anything else.

The FAQ only has 1 TSIB but the website I post have more than 15!!

Moreover, the faq only covers 2006, 07 n 08 also have many TSIB service

sorry for the dumb question what is TSIB? i have an 08 is250 with only 100 kms on it annd i was woundering if i have that break dust problem or if i have dustless pads? any help?

TSIB is technical service information bulletin. Lexus dealers will and should solve the problems for free if it is a TSIB. 08 models should have no problem coz your rims is the gunmetal type ones

Some members have come across the website before, and it's o.k. to share a TSIB that affected you. It's illegal though to provide copyrighted information to everyone on the forum, so please, keep it private.

In all honesty, if you have a problem with your car, TSIB or not, please get it checked by a reputable dealer Service Department. There may be a fix without the need for a TSIB...

did you even read the list of TSIBs, most of these arent real problems, more of a heads up procedures or revisions to a technical manual

The "My Lexus" website will keep you up-to-date with applicable recalls and service campaigns, which are factory programs applicable to all vehicles within the range of affected VINs. It doesn't show TSIBs. TSIBs contain service information and are provided to dealers to help them solve a specific problem. TSIBs are only applicable to customers who are actually experiencing the problem.

Club Lexus has most of the 2IS TSIBs uploaded on their server. If its illegal to provide TSIBs then Internet Brands is going to be in trouble.

The TSIB's are a must for the 2gen. I have no noises, no brake dust, and no whinning noise with external mp3 players now. I love it!!! Everyone should get these done.

I'm planning to bring my car to dealer and fix them these TSIB:

- dashboard rattle
- moonroof squeak n rattle
- seat belt sometimes squeaks
- excesive brake dust (will complain about this during 20k mile service - got free replacement when it is really needed)

What else do u think I should complain about?

you cant wait until the pads are dead to do the TSIB, you might get denied. Wasnt intended to be a free set of front brakes

Its it too late for 20k for that TSIB? Because the pads are close to its life span. I am waiting to do my break TSIB as well, but gonna do it around 10k
