Default Don't Understand? (6000k/8000k) Xenon HID

Now if I were to purchase a new IS350 with the Xenon HID Lexus Headlights....How do I go about putting those 6000k lights in from Xenon Depot? I like the blue/purple light effect...but I dont understand what I would need to replace if I already have Lexus' HID Xenon kit with the package.

Please Advise. Thanks again CL!!!!

You will have to simply replace the bulb with the exact size. Look in your manual, the non HID ISX50 are H11 and the factory HID is different. 6000k to 8000k is a differance in the arc of the bulb which produces that color effect. I would reccomend 6000k as the anything above will reduce visibility due to the color refracting on the road and it becomes worse with rain and snow.

you just swap out the stock 4300k bulb with a 6000k bulb.

You got it man!! The stock HID Ballasts will be fine with a replacement xenon depot bulb or any bulbs for that matter that match your exact oem bulb size. many people on CL have swapped out there 4300k facory bulbs in order to get that purple/blue look. Let it be known, the 4300k will offer the best road vision as it is a cleaner white light. I myslef, like the 6000k and have not run into major issues, you will notice a little road sign glare, but i like it.

KELVIN SCALE COLOR DESCRIPTION:

3000K(3200lm) - GOLDEN YELLOW (GREAT FOR FOG LIGHTS)
4300K(3300lm) - BRIGHT WHITE (BRIGHTEST)
5000K(3250lm) - INTENSE WHITE
6000K(2800lm) - CRYSTAL WHITE
8000K(2550lm) - CRYSTAL BLUE (RECOMMENDED)
10000K(2300lm) - AQUA BLUE
12000K(2100lm) - BLUE-PURPLE
14000K(2000lm) - PURPLE
30000K(1900lm) - DARK-PURPLE (SHOW PURPOSES)

No problem,

If you lived in the Chicagoland area, I would help for free, the ISX50 and IS300's are my hobby for many years. you would think, I should have invested in cheaper hobbies (LOL)?
