Does your voice command do what you tell it to?
I have a list of the navigation voice commands for my IS (from the dealer). I have tried a few, but some of them don't do what I ask...I end up with other funky things happening. Is it just me, or is the voice command feature kind of temperamental?

It is definitely tempermental... Sometimes me and my girlfriend will just say things to see what the navigation will do. One of the funny commands I can remember trying to see what would happen was "Clear all" and it listed POI all of the nearby Ski Resorts.

Depends on your accent. My wife and I have flat, midwestern accents and don't have any problems. Others may have issues. Just depends.

hehehe I forgot I posted this thread last year (I was still a noob with my car). It's been well over a year, and I've given up on the voice commands. I find it much easier/faster to navigate by pushing the buttons.

some voice command dont work unless your in the screen for example you cant just click the button and say call ___ you have to be in the phone screen to do so....

That's not a voice command, that's the instrument dimmer. Turn your gauge brightness to less than maximum and the nav display will revert to auto mode.
