Default Need a Foglight Bulb, please help

Hey guys,

So i've read the DIY about changing the foglights, and i think I am up for the task. Now my question is, I already have a blue fog overlay from aerotect and its great...but it didnt really change the color output of the fogs. So I want something that will match closest to a 5000K HID kit and my 9 SMT white LED parking light.

So the million dollar question: which bulb do i get, and where? Keep in mind I am from the great north.

I tried searching, and I have some ideas, but there were kinda all over the place. Any recommendations?

thanks!

I'm going to put in the new piaa intense white bulbs. supposedly are about 4100k and burn cooler since its a bigger bulb. I've been kinda down on piaa in the past cuz they are somewhat expensive... and i could probably go HID for 170ish more.

I'll have them in by next week and can put up pics - if you want to wait that long.

I think to get a match to your 5000K HID's your gonna have to go HID. I went with the sylvania silverstar ultras in my fogs. Thjey dont match the oem HID's....but look nice and boy do they light up the roadway.

I agree with scottina. the only way you will have an identical match is if you go through the hid installation process. I have the 5000K bulbs for my headlights and put aftermarket bulbs on the fogs and still doesn't match entirely but I came pretty close. I knew it wouldn't match in the first place anyways. I have rvinyl blue film on my headlight and fogs for pics look here. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=337639

Heh I guess I should have worded it better. Closest match will be fine. Obviously nothing will match HID unless..well if they are HIDs :P.

Thanks for the ideas. Yea, i'll look around and get a bulb one of these days.

thanks
