My question is can you totally shut off the VSC & TRAC at any given time as long as your at a complete stop. Do you have to put it in park 1st or only when you first turn on the car? Please advise I'm thinking of converting my 06 to the 07/08 skid control computer. For the 06 I believe you can only do the pedal dance once you start the car.
Now if you are rolling... (low speeds) the Trac will turn off and then turn back on, once the 15-25mph mark is passed..

If I'm not mistaken the defeat switch was offered on the 07 + 08 models. If you momentarily press the switch it will disable the traction control (only) until you reach a certain speed. If you press and hold the switch you disable both the traction control and VSC but after that certain speed the traction control will enable itself. (not the VSC)

Has anyone found a way to bypass the auto-on feature on the TCS defeat on the '06? Clip a VSS wire like we do on our Nav maybe? I don't care for the brake dance...
