why does the simplest thing, like adding new wheels, have to be so damned difficult.

Blame the Feds. They mandated this after the Ford Exploder tire problems.

Sorry don't mean to steal the thread, but I recently purchased a set of TPMS sensors off ebay. However, they did not come with the 'nut' that tighten's them down to the rim or any washers etc. Anyone know where I can purchase these pieces? Would Toyota have them?

No worries, you can get them through Discount Tire or Tire Rack. You have to replace these anytime you change sensors from wheels anyway, it is a safety thing. The kit is really only $20. I had mine replaced when I swapped rims.

Yea, those dastardly feds, trying to make cars safer. Why can’t they leave us alone to kill ourselves on the road like in the old days?

you can convince most lexus dealers to program for free if you are already in for service or warranty. Me and all my brothers and cousins have gotten it done for free in S. FLA.

I found this seller on Ebay selling another set, ...however, they are for 2007, ...will they still work? ...something about certain codes for certain cars?

...on a side note, my SSR VF1 wheels are on the way, ...so I need to solve this TPMS issue before I go crazy driving w/ the lights flashing.

Nevermind, I found the answer to my own question, ...my car was manufactered on 03/06, so I need the older TPMS sensor part number.

Just for ya'lls future reference:

from what I was told, 03/06 and older require this part number
#42607-30030

the newer models late 06and up require this part number
#42607-33021

Greg

....still trying to see if Toyota ones work (i'm sure they do, but which Part # do I get)

Toyota uses the same exact part number...

As seen on Carson's OEM Parts website...

Enter: 42607-30030 Select: Toyota

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...&siteid=214915

You save a few dollars buying them from Toyota..

May I ask how much cuz I just called them to see if the 90-some $ they were charging was for 1 or 4 and they said that is for 1. You can buy 4 on ebay for $100.00 if thats the case. But it's hard to find good help now days so he might of been on drugs who knows. I hope that 42607-33021 is good for the 09 rx because I am ordering a set. The guy on ebay asked me if the 09 was even out yet and to call the dealer and ask.

I have been informed by another CL Member that our computers allow for two different sets of TPMS programming to allow for the removal and instal between summer and winter tires. This may help some members out that switch out wheels and tires for the winter months. I would check with the dealer, this is a simple procedure.
