so here's my run down

Club Lexus:
pros
- better layout
- advertisements are not in your way as much (i guess this goes with layout)
- seems to have more bandwidth
- more members
- better search (which nobody uses enough in the performance section)
- more active
- our other area's of topic a really active (such as the photography section)

cons:
- there needs to be a sticky (heck i would even write it up) in the performance section that list an average gain or loss (i said average folks) of intakes and exhaust. seriously count the amount of post about either subject. The answers are already there, but it never fails to have at least 2 new post a day about the same thing.
- moderators tend to be more involved in censoring[FONT=verdana,geneva,lucida,'lucida grande',arial,helvetica,sans-serif] or suppressing opinions

MY.is
Pros:
- it's an alternative
- their users for the performance section tend to be a little more aggressive when it comes to mods. Not just intakes and exhaust, but superchargers and headers are discussed fully including implementation. I know we have some same threads, but theirs are more active right now.
- moderators are less involved

cons:
- slower
- their ads are not placed well. I hate having the ad right at the beginning of the thread.
- less 2is members

I do like both sites though.

MY.IS has more non 1st & 2nd gen owners. There is a section where you can just talk about anything you want. No mods will tell you any different in that forum.

ISFanatics.com is an alternative to MY.IS. Pretty much everyone that got bashed on MY.IS was referred to ISFanatics.com.
ISF is more for the people with IS' and wants to help and solve problems.
Try the new site and see what you think about it.

 

The "parking lot" at .myis is a lot better then our "clubhouse".

The Parking Lot has lots of p0rn as well. Don't know if clublexus allows postings of p0rn. Anyone know?

Thats my thoughts exactly. I've searched for many 2IS sites, and have found that CL is the most active and very resourceful site.

I've had many questions answered with simple clicks through the advance search function.

I don't post a lot since I enjoy being a reader, but I have found CL to be a great site overall ranging from experience users to new car buyers.

So..... Club Lexus.

Left and asked them to delete all my posts, username, etc, etc. Not a happy place for me after the way their mods treated me. This was long before I became a CL mod.

 

Yes please in a logical easy to read , we'll add it to the FAQ and sticky if it's good enough!

Yeah, we have a few members that cause problems that occasionally need some moderation. Sometimes they need banning when they keep on doing it (it = personal attacks, physical threats, stalking, soliciting / advertising, etc) after being politely asked not to.

 

Yes there's a lot more action here with regards to the 2is but my.is can be more entertaining. The 1is has mods galore and lots of action when it comes to discussions regarding forced induction etc... Yes there's more 2is talk here, but since this gen of IS is not mod friendly, all the topics seem to be getting stale. Like look at my new mooncakes, when are we getting sway bars, and 3000 different threads about how the tanabe sounds...

Lemme tell you how it sounds.. zzZZzzZZzZZ that's how!

 

Can you choice a better font? I am a fan of Comic Sans MS myself.
