While the ISx50 section here gets more threads.

I'm actually a Senior Moderator on my.IS...

But man some of the stuff I'm reading in here is just funny..

Well being a member on both forums and I'm sure some of you have seen me before, I started on my.is (is300.net) when I owned my IS300. And that site had plenty of information on the 1IS. Then when I purchased my IS350 I found that Clublexus is the main resource for that information. Saying that I found MY.IS geared more toward the 1IS and Clublexus toward 2IS and other models as well. But what I have seen both sites are doing an equally good job for the IS-F. What do you think about that? There's an ISF site called LexusF.com some good information but not plenty. I still post on both sites and enjoy everyones opinion whether there pro or against Lexus. I haven't checked out ISFanatic.com I guess I will check it out. Waiting for the next big my.is/cleblexus meet take care guys happy posting.....

IS300.net (nee my.IS) was the place for the first generation IS300 and the off topic forum (known as the Parking Lot or PL for short) was pretty lively and fun at times too. The silly “Rep” system more or less turned the PL into a flame zone with regulars with massive “rep shlongs” trying to knock out newbs and get them banned from “negative rep” . I had (and do have, I would assume) ~ 4000 posts over there before I finally threw in the towel and stopped participating.

The topical forums really went down the toilet when some less than brilliant minds decided that requiring a VIN number to participate in the 2IS forums would be a good idea and I’m sure that not only ruled out potential future owners but turned off a few current owners as well. Plus, IS350 owners couldn’t get into the IS250 forum without a IS250 VIN. Wtf was that about. The whole VIN # thing really fragmented the membership and limited participation, imo, of course.

I’m pretty sure the 1st generation forums are slowly atrophying as the car dates but for the original IS300 it has some real knowledgeable people over there.

I spend about a day on that other site when I got my IS350. I visited it first before I knew of this site. I had picked up my IS350 a few months after release and there was a lot of IS300 on that site who were just ripping apart the new IS as a car and the owners so I jumped real fast over here which had a dedicated forums for the 2ng generation and no problems at all. I've been here ever since. I don’t post a lot but I’m here every day reading. I like that its moderated pretty good, keep as all the “1337” and trash talkers out. Hard to do on the internet today. Sound like the other site fixed up their hate talk on the 2nd gen if people speak highly of it now.

my.is is a nice site....but 5 out of 10 times I go there one of the annoying flashy ads locks my laptop. I am about to stop visiting there....even though i like the "garage" forum.
