Many people on CL have added them. They take about half hour taking you time. The driverside is a little bit trickier due to the angle of instal and having a flexible screwdriver will reduce instal time. I have heard that some wherehouses for Toyota are on backorder and some dealers charge $200 when the Lexus parts web-site lists them for about $145 and some dealers install them for you at that price.

Well I know my little brother who's 18 did it on one of his cars. I asked him how hard it was...and he said it was easy. You just need a screw driver and unscrew the pedals and put the Aluminum ones on.
This is what he told me...so im just telling you. I dont know how true it is.
Anyone else can correct me if im wrong. But this seems like a simple mod to do.

lexus's pedals aren't "screw on" - which is why it is a little more complicated. the accelerator pedal is held on by a pin... which involves taking off the whole arm/assembly so you can actually hammer the pin out. however, the other two pedals are pretty basic "pull off and replace."

if you get the sports pedal to DIY...
the foot rest(dead pedal) is pop-out and pop-in(don't need to replace white clip kind of thing)
brake pedal requires a skill to cover the large lip rubber, but kinda easy once you feel it.
accel pedal is the hardest!
you need to remove two screws one on the bottom left the other one on top right, then unplug the harness on the assembly, then hammer the pin on the bar, then put the sports pedal.
**** another way to install the accel pedal!****
instead of removing the two screws as mentioned above, you can disassemble the accel pedal.
nothing complicated things are in the assembly. there are 2 springs. and 2 plastic pieces and things... if you search on it more, you will find the pictures of it.
i disassembled my old IS250 yr250, but i installed it proper way on my IS250 yr 08 this time...hahaha
it is piece of cake now.

the OEM Sports Pedal looks simple and very slick.
and it fits perfect.
i don't think aftermarket will fit perfect...maybe they just bolt it on using some metal clips. metal clips holds well too, but i don't like pedals to be close to each other. aftermarket pedals are usually larger than oem
