Does your spouse approve of the drop!?
Thinking of going the coilover route. I personally love the look of a nicely dropped car. The wife, however, says it's the worst thing I can do to the car and it will be forever 'ruined'. She complains about having to be extra careful, not taking it certain places to be cautious, and the possibility of scraping the bottom of the car on an incline. Are there any positives that could slightly convince her it's a good idea? Please advise!!!

did you buy the car together? do you share the payments?
if you did buy it together or share payments, accept the fact that you have a beautiful Lexus that not everyone is able to afford and keep it stock and keep your wife happy.
if you bought it yourself...it's your car and your wife will have to deal with it
as far as positives...i dont see any. it will be a little stiffer, will be harder to get in and out of, and you will both have to be careful about scraping.

Aren’t you describing things that require some speed that you no longer can do on anything but a perfectly smooth road because of the lowering?

your gonna lower your car and put it in the hands of your wife? thats as crazy as putting rims on a wifes car dont do it, its not worth the 'ramdom' damage that MIRACULOUSLY appears on womens cars sometimes

i agree with llamaboiz, my wife managed to scratch 3 out of 4 rims on her new TC within 2 months of owning it. after market parts and wifey driving = bad combo .. ..... .. but you gotta love them!!

yeah, if your wife is driving it as well i agree as above, save the money on your own car so you can do as you like.. she might not care enough for YOUR coilovers to slow down when shes driving

My girlfriend loves cars. anything that makes it look better she all go for it, unless it takes up a lot of money that will be held from her "Tiffany's, coach, etc purchases."
