Ah so it sounds like the bluetooth will work normally as expected even with the iPhone plugged into the aux jack, that is good news.

Bluetooth still works when listening to your iPhone. The music stops and displays onto the nav. Both ringers will ring though. They have the belkin and monster adaptor for 10 bucks.

FYI, I have one of these (not exact same one, but made by SIK) that is a din out. It DOES NOT work on my iPhone. Just trying to save some people some money.

Does it work without issue via the bluetooth through the car as any bluetooth enabled and paired phone would?

Eventually once the iPhone is available (without unlocking it) in Canada I want to get one but want to confirm that it would work well in this fashion.

i currently use my iPhone with the aux cord to play my music, when a call comes in it goes to the CarPlay automatically. I cannot get my music to play over the Bluetooth without using a receiver but I get alot of static that way so I just use my aux cord with the USB’c into my phone, although it tends to cut off frequently due to the cord being smashed by the middle console cover since the port is inside the middle console. But I have no issues with my iPhone and the cars Bluetooth for phone calls but playing my music wireless doesn’t want to connect to the built in Bluetooth. Hope that helps!

yes, you can put your phone away and you will see it in the nav screen. It will function as if you are using your phone in hand. Call, answering, hang up, redial ect..

I am hoping it doesn't do that.

It functions exactly as you want it to. I do not have to touch my phone at all it will redirect the call the cars bt automatically. The cars built in BT only functions for phone calls I have to use a usbc aux cord to play music but it doesn’t affect the calls it still automatically reroutes the call to the nav screen when using the aux.
